HELLO & WELCOME!
I’m so glad you are here.
Since I'm asking you to let me into your life and your home with a CAMERA, I think it's only fair that I do the same so that we aren't complete strangers! (although I’m already a bit strange to begin with, see below):
EXTROVERTED INTROVERT I like people, but I like them more in small doses
INCREDIBLY AWKWARD IN FRONT OF A CAMERA but generally ok in my skin
FOOD ALLERGY MOM I actually do enjoy talking about eczema remedies with strangers
TINY HOUSE DWELLER but we're kind of cheaters because we have a garage
CANTONESE/TOISANESE My grandparents were in the first wave to settle LA's Chinatown
ROAD TRIP JUNKIE don't get me started on my love for Roadside America & folk art
ASPIRING MINIMALIST to counteract my natural messiness
ACROPHOBE but weirdly obsessed with things that fly, like hot air balloons, kites and birds
GLOBETROTTER 32 hostel stays, 28 Airbnbs, and 12 countries so far
UCLA ALUM Class of 2007. Go Bruins!
I am a documentary family photographer. Having also been an elementary school speech therapist means I am extremely observant and patient; acutely aware of mischief; snarky in the most kid-friendly way; and constantly dealing with situations bursting with hilarity, chaos and sticky hands & hugs.
My family is my husband, 3-year-old, and rascal dog. Weekends are full of roadtrips and church, and inevitable toddler messes. We downsized from a regular-sized house to a tiny house (498 sq ft) to try really hard to keep collecting moments, not things. Less space has meant more togetherness, and we think it's going to stay this way.
My son is my greatest source of chaos and joy. When I make pictures of him, I try to represent him as who he is now, for who he will become later, without prodding to perform. I photograph him without expectations of him being anyone but himself, and who he was created to be. I look at him with love in times of quiet, of curiosity, and I try to hold onto that in times of struggle, to look beyond the tantrums to understand how he is fighting so hard to become his own person.
My hope is to photograph your family the way I photograph my own. My hope is to contribute to your family legacies. My hope is to show you as you are, wrapped up in the beauty of your everyday, seen in the eyes of the ones who love you, and to find the extraordinary in the ordinary.

Tiffany is an amazingly talented and passionate videographer/ photographer. Her presence immediately puts you at ease. Our 'day in the life' session with her was a great experience and left us with an album and video that we'll treasure for a lifetime.
We love Tiffany! We really like her artistic style and, as important, her ability to connect with the family she's filming. Within minutes of meeting her, we felt completely at home. During filming, she balanced staying in the background with chatting with us. Most importantly, she captured us.

why documentary family photography?
Documentary family photography is a "day in the life" type of shoot that is a modern alternative to the family portrait. It is undirected & unposed—think National Geographic vs. reality TV— this means you get photos that are organic, honest, and tell your real story, the real deal, with all the feels. You don’t have to go buy new clothes or put up pretend decorations (not reality TV, remember?) and bribe your children to smile. This is a different kind of photo session, one in which every image you’ll see in your gallery is not only a moment in time but a piece of the story that tells how you lived and loved today. Your very own visual time capsule of a slice of life: sibling rivalries, sports practice, dance classes, toddler tantrums, heart-bursting hugs.
This is for your everyday. You may feel like the ins and outs of your daily life are not worth documenting, but I promise you, they are.
You work hard, and some days you’ve had it up to HERE. Your photos will show you the sum of your everyday efforts, how you are loved, how you love, and how the people you love look on you in love. The daily rhythms and legacy-in-the-making of your family will be so warmly captured that it will feel like your story, all your own. You get to be you. Your kids—let them be little.

Documentary family photography is for telling stories and keeping memories.
You have a first person point-of-view because you are in your life story as a parent. You're busy spending quality time with your family and keeping them alive! Can I come alongside you to give you something you cannot do yourself (this having nothing to do with a fancy camera or advanced photo skills)? This is simply because your eyes and hands are on your own life—you’re a character in your own family’s story. Your storytelling photos will let you play narrator when showing your kids how crazy they drove you, or how deeply you cared for them.
The goal from a documentary family shoot is for you to feel all the pride and joy (and general relief!) welling up when you see how your kids grow, reveling in all that is good about them and all that they can become. The image gallery you’ll receive from your photo shoot is truly a library of your memories to pull from, hold close and create with what you want. Adorn your walls with memories, make a book filled with your history, watch your family film over and over.
Documentary family photography is for creating legacies.
Everyone has family heirlooms passed on from generation to generation, and they all come with a story: boxes of photos or sticky albums full of history and signs of the times that help us all remember how things used to be and where we came from. Maybe you need to somehow encapsulate grandma’s secret recipes or make sure you have pictures of the diner your grandfather first worked at after he finished his military service. (I’m working on the first bit! And sadly, the second was razed by developers.)
Looking at your photos, I hope you feel the breath of life, the daily successes of growing your children, the quiet times of trial that inevitably come into play. Remember when they were little, remember when their love was expressive; remember when you thought they were so cute. My hope is for these photos to outlive you, and to become part of your family's legacy, not only the printed products but the stories that live within them.

I was lucky enough to discover Tiffany a couple of years ago and now she is our family's official documentarian for milestone birthdays and yearly family photos!
Where to begin? 1) she magically makes my house look WAAAAY prettier than it actually is. 2) my three young children respond really well to her and she is super gifted at simultaneously engaging them and melting into the background. 3) her aesthetic. is. amazing.
Can't say enough about Tiffany. Her pictures are stunning. Full of light, never stagey, never cheesy. I am so grateful for her easy presence and flexibility. I totally feel like she is my long-lost BFF - but I'm sure she makes everyone feel that way!!!
Her photos are my most treasured family possession, no joke.

Being a large family of 6, I thought the idea of having our day documented intriguing. When I saw the end product I was grateful to see angles and perspectives I would have never seen if it wasn’t for Tiffany who captured such a raw and organic side of our family life. Including my boy’s messy room, ha. From eating donuts, little laughs and hugs, to wrestling on the floor, she captured it all. I am grateful since I most likely will forget the little things I love most about family life documented right here.

Her goal with every photo session is to come alongside you to create honest, emotive imagery that gives your family visual roots for when your moments become memories and eventually passed on as legacies.
